Muntazir Privacy Policy

Muntazir works without an account and without an internet connection. The Quran, duas, prayer times, the Qibla and the calendar all run entirely on your phone. If you never create an account, nothing you do in the app is sent to us.
What we collect
Only if you choose to create an account, and only these things:
- Your email address.
- A display name, if you enter one. It is optional.
- Your password, stored only as a bcrypt hash. We never store, see or can recover the password itself.
- The items you save: favourite duas, Quran bookmarks and your notes.
This is held in a MongoDB Atlas database and exists for one purpose: so your saved items reappear when you sign in on another phone. It is not used for anything else.
What never leaves your phone
- Your location. It is used on the device to calculate prayer times and the direction of the Qibla, and is never transmitted to our servers. To show your city's name, the coordinates are passed to your phone's own operating system geocoder (Apple or Google), which is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.
- Your settings — theme, language, translation, calculation method.
- Your tasbih counts.
- Prayer reminders. These are scheduled locally by your phone. No notification is sent from a server.
- What you read. We do not record which duas, verses or hadith you open.
What we do not do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services. The app contains no third-party SDK of any kind.
- We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone.
Server logs
When the app fetches hadith or the 99 Names, our server receives that request, which includes your IP address — as it does for any website or app. These logs are used to keep the service running and secure. They are not combined with your account or used to build a profile.
Children
Muntazir is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep your information
For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the data listed above is removed from our live database immediately. Residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.
Deleting your account and your data
In the app, open More → Account → Delete account. You can also request deletion without the app — see Delete your account.
Your rights
You may ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. Because the app stores so little, the answer to the first is usually the list above and nothing more.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
